To apply to become an adult Posse Member, please download and complete the following form. This will need to be returned to the Bates County Sheriff's Office. Once received, a background check will be completed, and a Posse Officer will reach out to you for next steps. Please note, you will need to provide certificates of Skills and Trainings you have completed.
If you are a Bates County Youth and interested in applying for the Posse Youth Academy, our next enrollment will be April/May 2026. Please download and complete the Youth application and turn it in to the Bates County Sheriff's Office prior to the next enrollment.
